Guo Jinlong’s motorcade (left) passes by Chung Shan North Road on the morning of February 19, then sped up and left hastily as soon as it encountered Falun Gong practitioners holding banners and protesting.

Practitioner Ms. Shao said that Guo Jinlong was sued in Taiwan for his role in the persecution of Falun Gong in China. There has been a saying since ancient times, “Good will be rewarded with good, and evil will meet with retribution.” We hope that he will stop the persecution, be quick to correct his evil deeds, and not share the same fate as the CCP.

The voices of practitioners opposing the persecution didn’t stop with Guo Jinlong’s departure from Taipei. At Sun and Moon Lake in Nantou, the shouting of “Stop persecuting Falun Gong” and “Guo Jinlong, you’ve been sued” still continued.

Beijing Mayor Avoids Exiting from Main Gate, Afraid of Meeting with Falun Gong Lawyer

Beijing Mayor Guo Jinlong left Taiwan via airplane on the morning of February 21, 2012. During his visit, protests by various groups accompanied him wherever he went. Besides Falun Gong practitioners, a Tibetan group and Taiwanese businessmen protested Guo’s involvement in the human rights abuses during his entire stay. At the hotel where Guo was staying, he constantly met with lawyers who urged him to stop continuing his participation in the persecution.

For his role in the severe persecution of Falun Gong, on the first day Guo arrived in Taiwan, the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association filed a lawsuit against him with the High Prosecutors' Office, for his committing crimes against humanity. Guo is the ninth CCP official who has been sued by Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan. Taiwan's major media has covered this news.

On the morning of February 19, to avoid meeting with two female lawyers representing Falun Gong at the main gate of the hotel, Guo Jinlong left the hotel from another exit. His sudden change of route required the police, who had originally arranged to see him off at the main gate, to busily make adjustments. According to an insider, Guo Jinlong is the mayor of the biggest municipality in China, and there are certain specifications during his visit to Taiwan, but in order to avoid seeing two female Falun Gong lawyers and two female practitioners, he didn’t dare to leave the hotel from the main entrance as planned, but changed to another exit.

Theresa Chu, spokesperson for the Taiwan Falun Gong Human Rights Group, said that Beijing scoundrel mayor Guo Jinlong, who has participated in the persecution, lowered his specifications and left in panic to avoid meeting with two female human rights lawyers. He didn’t dare to take the main entrance in a noble and dignified manner, due to what he has done as a persecutor. But the Falun Gong lawyers group persisted and were able to deliver the complaint to his hotel room door on the last night before Guo Jinlong left Taiwan. Guo’s guards and entourage accepted the complaint on his behalf.

According to the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association, prisons, forced labor camps, and detention centers in Beijing are notorious for employing ruthless abuses and severe torture in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The Beijing Judicial Bureau and Police Department, which are the competent authorities of the prisons, forced labor camps, and detention centers, are Beijing municipal government organizational units, and are under the direct control of Beijing's mayor. It is an indisputable fact that Guo Jinlong ranks in the No.1 position of Beijing's party and government leadership. He is an active participant in implementing the CCP’s genocidal policies [against Falun Gong], and should certainly take primary responsibility for the severe and illegal incidents of persecution taking place in forced labor camps, prisons, and detention centers that are under his jurisdiction.

List of Persecution Events That Beijing Mayor Guo Jinlong Has Participated In:

Between December 2004 and November 2007, when Guo was party chief in Anhui Province, he prepared reports and a strategic handbook for the repression of Falun Gong activities in the province, leading to the illegal arrest of at least 37 Falun Gong practitioners.

In November 2007, when Guo was deputy party chief, deputy Beijing Mayor, and acting mayor, he continuously commanded the persecution of Falun Gong in public meetings.

In January 2008, when Guo was executive chairman of the Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee, Guo was involved in the arrests of 586 Falun Gong practitioners during a six-month period (between January and July 2008). Musician Yu Zhou died in police custody within ten days of his arrest.

From January 2008 to today, while Guo was Beijing's Mayor and deputy party chief, he has been involved in the arrests of 104 Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing, including between May 12 and May 31, 2008, during the earthquake disaster.
